This weekend I was supposed to go to Wilmington for Courtney's birthday party (mainly so that I could see Josh) BUT thanks to the wintery weather...it didn't happen because I would have been riding with Kelly who would have had to have driven from App. That made me kinda sad.
Anyway, instead on Friday...I went to Foster's on Rosemary St. with a bunch of friends whom I never really get to see because we're always to busy...and then we met up with more friends at the Union to see Garden State. After Garden State, we walked out of the auditorium, got right back into the same line and sat in the same seats for the showing of Friday Night Lights. Both were good movies, however I must say I'm not a big fan of sitting still that long.
After the movies, we decided to walk to Franklin in the freezing cold to go get none other than freezing cold ice cream. However, we ran into so many people along the way that when we finally tried to get some ice cream like an hour later, it was closed. We decided to go to Caribou instead (which I thought was smarter anyway) and we stayed there until it closed.
After we left Franklin, me, Justin, Steph, Jenny, Lisa and Nathan came back to my room to hang out. We played some movie challenge game (for like two HOURS) and that was actually a lot of fun. After that, we decided to play a few creative forms of hide-and-seek in the dark all throughout Hinton James and finally went to Lisa's room around 4. Jenny had never stayed up past like 2 because she values her sleep too much...so we determined that we MUST stay up all night just for her. We went to get brunch at chase around 10:30 on Saturday morning and then everyone came back and slept the day away.
Last night was the Miami game and me, Steph, Lisa and Caroline had amazing seats. It was great and we won, of course! YEAH TARHEELS! I've been pulling for Quentin Thomas (#11) everytime he goes in because Caroline doesn't like him very much. She says he makes her really nervous...but I like to pull for the underdog...he deserves a chance and afterall, he's only a freshie. Anyway, last night he actually played a LOT and he actually did a very good job. I mean, clearly everyone else did too...but you sort of expect them to. I think Quentin surprised us all and I was proud. YAY Quentin! haha.
The end.

This semester is proving to be a boring one. As much as I like my classes...they just don't require enough time and, being the ridiculous person that I am, I don't know how to handle any amount of extra time (especially great amounts). I mean, I'd add another class...except that the University won't let me because I'd be taking too many hours. Sooo...I got a job the other day. I've needed a job anyway because I'm still living off of the very underpaid amount of money I made at camp last summer...and it's very near extinct. Anyway, I am working for the Carolina Annual Fund with the Phonathon. Basically you call alumni and do some clerical work. I think I'll like it and it (a) will look good on my resume, (b) starts at $7.25 with frequent raises available and (c) best of all, requires that I work the same 8 hours/week...but past that, I can work pretty much whenever I want for however many hours I want! Hopefully, this is going to take care of the boredom issue...however, I'm still not so sure. The last two days I have had class, work, info sessions to go to and other things that would not normally be part of my day...and I have still completed all of my homework through next wednesday...and STILL had so much time leftover that I searched frantically for something to watch on tv (I don't really like to watch tv that much).
But yes, anyway, that's pretty much my story...I GOT A JOB! yay!
Oh...and yay for snow! (except that I think it's ruining my plans this weekend haha, oh well)
Valete.

I forgot to mention anything about basketball. So Saturday was the ticket distribution and since I was not here (and I woke up super early for tickets the last time), I slipped my bracelet off and gave it to Lisa (because they didn't put it on very tightly at all). Lisa and Steph went to get the tickets and because mine and Steph's numbers were so good...they were only there for about an hour total...including the check-in thing at the beginning. We got really good seats! For the Miami game we are sitting in row R of section 117. For the Clemson game we are sitting in row X of section 115. And...for the VA game...we got RISERS! :) It's going to be a whole new world and I can't wait! haha.
P.S. I was very very depressed as I watched the game on Saturday. Twasn't very fair. Oh well...we will just have to beat up on everyone else if we want to win the championship (and we WILL win)! Fin.
This weekend was fun. Friday I went home with Megan and Michael and hung out at Michael's house for a while. Courtney and Josh eventually came to pick me up and then we hung out for a little bit too. Courtney then randomly decided to drive four hours (in the early hours of the morning) to go see her boyfriend before he left for DC. Sooo...she took me and Josh to Josh's house and I slept in Anna's bed. The next day Josh and I came back to UNC and hung out with Chris and Ellen. That was a fun day. We saw In Good Company at Southpoint and I really liked it a lot. We spent the night here and then went back to Raleigh on Sunday. I took Josh back to his house and took his sister (and my really good friend) Anna with me to go meet Steph, another Josh, Kelly and Sarah for dinner. It was good to see all of them, but my lack of sleep helped me decide to skip out on the movie and just go home to bed. So I did. Yesterday Steph and I got back to UNC around 2:30 or 3ish and we decided we wanted to have a lazy day (which we never really have). We were supposed to go to Lenoir for dinner but instead ordered a pizza. We were supposed to hang out with some friends and go watch Zoolander somewhere (seen it almost too many times) but instead, rented Dead Poet's Society from downstairs (which neither of us had seen). It was good. Then we talked for a while and then Josh called and we talked to him for a while. After that we went to bed. The end.

So this week was pretty good. First, we had homecoming at my high school (during basketball season because our school didn't have a football team) and that was really fun. It was good to see all my old friends and whatnot. Saturday night was the dance/afterparty and that was fun, too. The pictures below are from that...of me and Corinne (who is my best friend's little sister...and one of my really good friends, too)...and me and Josh. Josh and I hung out Saturday night after all that was over because he had to go back to school on Sunday which was sad.
Anyways, I came back to UNC on Monday night and thoroughly enjoyed my last days of break. Wednesday class started and I love my schedule. I have really good classes at really good times (in my personal opinion, at least). MWF I have Chem 21 at 9, and English 11 at 10. TR I have Stat at 8, Bio at 9:30 and Psyc at 11. On Thursdays, I will have Bio lab too. My classes are MUCH better than last semester because in chem...we did not learn three new calculus-derived forms of the ideal gas law on the first day...and I have NO Latin class with graduate students from Duke!!! (stupid placement exams! haha)
So yes, I'm lovin the general classes...not to mention the fact that I have really good friends in all of them...except for English. I don't really know anyone in English...but it seems like it's going to be a fun class so I'm looking forward to that too. haha (since I have all the athletes in my class...even if Marvin Williams isn't in it anymore, sad!)
Oh! and I just found out that the winning number for ticket distribution this week is 54225. My number is 54492. YAY! We're gettin REALLY good tickets this time around. I love basketball! That is all. :)
